Best MMA gym management software in 2026

MMA gyms run the busiest, most multi-discipline timetables in our data. Seven platforms compared on verified 2026 pricing for gyms teaching more than one art.

The short version: an MMA gym is two or three gyms sharing one timetable, and that is the whole software question. Mat Track (ours, free to 200 contacts, built for multi-discipline ranks) and Zen Planner (from $99, the most-seen platform on MMA gym sites in our crawl) lead the shortlist, with Gymdesk from $75 for simplicity and PushPress free-to-start. All seven below carry verified August 2026 pricing.

The data says MMA gyms are a different species. Of the 132 MMA gyms with published timetables in our directory of more than 11,000 martial arts gyms, 75% run classes across at least two distinct arts and half run three or more; the median MMA timetable carries 22 classes a week against 15 for martial arts gyms overall. More arts means more class types, more rank ladders running at once, more coaches to compare and more ways for a member to quietly disappear from one programme while staying in another.

What MMA gyms run today, measured

MMA gyms are also the most softwared: 26% of the 363 MMA gym sites we crawled in August 2026 run a visible booking system, the highest of any discipline we track and well above the 78%-run-nothing average across martial arts. It fits: the busiest timetables feel the pain first. Among the 96 sites with something detectable, Zen Planner and Gymdesk hold half the field between them. The usual honesty note applies: detection sees public website embeds of 19 known systems, and neither Mat Track nor PushPress is in that set, so the chart says nothing about them either way.

The multi-art problem no general platform was built for

Three demands separate MMA from single-discipline gyms. First, simultaneous ranks: the same member holds a BJJ belt, a muay thai level and maybe a wrestling background, each progressing on its own ladder; software built around one belt track, or none, pushes all of that into a spreadsheet. Second, the door: MMA gyms attract drop-ins and cross-training visitors, so a day pass with a phone-signed waiver has to take seconds. Third, coach truth across programmes: with three coaching teams under one roof, retention lives or dies per programme, and an owner needs to see which classes keep their people, not just a gym-wide number.

The seven, compared on verified pricing

Mat Track is ours; weigh accordingly. Free up to 200 contacts, Growth $99 and Pro $199 a month, no platform transaction fees. The MMA case is the one the product was built for: members holding ranks in several arts at once, day passes with QR entry for the drop-in stream, and attendance flagging members whose pattern drops in any programme. The honest limits: youngest platform here, and no marketplace bringing walk-ins.

Mat Track, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • Ranks across multiple arts per member, native rather than bolted on
  • Day passes and digital waivers in the free plan
  • Attendance-driven retention alerts per member's own pattern

Where it falls short:

  • Shortest track record on this list
  • No consumer marketplace for walk-in discovery
  • Free plan caps at 200 contacts

Zen Planner, from $99 plus modules (website $99, marketing $249, branded app $39), is the most-seen platform on MMA gym sites in our crawl at 26% of those detected, and its depth is the reason: belt testing events, staff and payroll, programme-level structure. Configure the real price first; fully stacked it passes $480 a month.

Zen Planner, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • The most-detected platform on MMA gym sites in our crawl
  • Belt testing, staff and payroll depth for big multi-programme academies
  • Proven at exactly this kind of scale

Where it falls short:

  • Module stacking takes $99 towards $486 configured
  • The heaviest setup on this list
  • More product than a one-room gym will ever open

Gymdesk, $75 to $200 a month with everything included and a website bundled, is the simplicity counterweight: second most-seen on MMA sites at 24%. Multi-art rank tracking is serviceable rather than deep.

Where it wins:

  • Every feature at every tier, one predictable bill
  • Website builder included; fastest setup here
  • Strong second place in our MMA crawl at 24%

Where it falls short:

  • Rank tracking is basic next to the martial arts specialists
  • Retention tooling lighter than its booking tooling
  • Price steps up with member count

Kicksite, $49 to $199 by student count, brings two decades of martial arts club heritage: belts, gradings and family billing are native, and 13% of detected MMA sites run it. Its striking-side and S&C breadth is thinner, which is where pure-MMA operations feel the edges.

Kicksite, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • Belts and gradings native, families handled well
  • Cheapest paid entry on the list at $49
  • Long martial arts track record, strong support reputation

Where it falls short:

  • Multi-programme and S&C depth is limited
  • Dated interface, thin member app
  • Built for traditional clubs more than fight teams

PushPress starts free with unlimited members, Pro $159, Max $229, add-ons priced (training from $79, app from $81). Its class-gym DNA and strength-and-conditioning tooling fit the S&C half of an MMA operation well; ranks are not its language.

PushPress, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • Real free tier, unlimited members
  • Strong programming and S&C toolset
  • All prices published, add-ons included

Where it falls short:

  • No native rank or grading structures
  • Configured cost climbs once add-ons stack
  • Not measurable in our crawl, so no usage evidence either way

Wodify, $99 Essentials with upper tiers by sales call, brings the deepest performance tracking here, and our crawl found it on 6% of detected MMA sites (most of its martial arts base is BJJ gyms, 32 of its 47 sites). If logged scores and progress graphs are your gym's culture, it is the strongest at exactly that; we compared it head to head with PushPress in Wodify vs PushPress.

Wodify, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • Performance tracking and whiteboard culture, unmatched here
  • Published processing rates from 2.7% plus 30 cents
  • Real grappling adoption in our crawl data

Where it falls short:

  • Only the entry tier is publicly priced; the rest is a sales call
  • Belts and gradings are not native
  • Heavy for gyms that do not live on logged scores

Mindbody is quote-only as of August 2026 and appears on 11% of detected MMA sites. The marketplace brings walk-ins in big cities, which is its honest case; the studio model underneath fits class packs better than fight-team memberships.

Mindbody, captured August 2026

Where it wins:

  • Consumer marketplace reach in large cities
  • Biggest brand, widest integrations
  • Present on 11% of detected MMA sites in our crawl

Where it falls short:

  • No public pricing at all
  • Studio DNA; ranks, squads and fight teams are foreign concepts
  • You pay partly for marketplace surface an MMA gym may not use

How to choose software for an MMA gym

Start from the multi-art test: put one imaginary member with a BJJ belt and a muay thai level into each trial and see which platform stores that without a workaround. A large academy with staff and payroll needs: Zen Planner. One bill and a website, minimal fuss: Gymdesk. Traditional club roots with families and gradings: Kicksite. S&C-heavy programme: PushPress. Whiteboard culture: Wodify. City-centre walk-in traffic: Mindbody earns its call. And if martial arts is the whole point rather than a programme on the side, that is the gap Mat Track was built for; free to 200 contacts, so the trial costs nothing but one honest week of your timetable.

Frequently asked questions

What does MMA gym management software cost?

As of August 2026, two platforms start free, Mat Track up to 200 contacts and PushPress's free tier with paid add-ons. Kicksite runs $49 to $199 a month, Gymdesk $75 to $200, and both Zen Planner and Wodify start at $99 with their larger tiers and modules priced beyond that (Wodify's upper tiers by sales call). Mindbody is quote-only. Cost the configured version, not the entry price.

What software do MMA gyms actually use?

In our August 2026 crawl of 363 MMA gym websites, 26% showed a booking system, the highest adoption of any discipline we track. Among those 96 sites, Zen Planner led at 26%, then Gymdesk 24%, Kicksite and Spark Membership 13% each, Mindbody 11% and Wodify 6%. Mat Track and PushPress are not in our detection set, so their share is unmeasured.

Can gym software track ranks in more than one martial art?

This is the question that separates the field. Multi-discipline rank tracking, a member holding a BJJ belt and a striking level at the same time, is native in martial-arts-specific platforms like Mat Track and handled to varying degrees by Kicksite and Zen Planner. General fitness platforms mostly track memberships, not ranks, so an MMA gym ends up keeping belts in a spreadsheet beside the software.

Do MMA gyms need different software from a normal gym?

The demands differ in degree. Half the MMA gyms in our timetable data run three or more arts, each with its own classes, levels and often its own coach team, on a median of 22 classes a week. That means more class types, more simultaneous ranks, more coaches to compare, and more drop-ins than a single-discipline gym, which is exactly the load that exposes thin software.

What is the best free software for an MMA gym?

Two real options as of August 2026. Mat Track is free up to 200 contacts with multi-discipline ranks, day passes, waivers and the member app included; it is ours, so test rather than trust. PushPress is free with unlimited members and paid add-ons. An MMA gym's complexity shows up fast in a trial, so run a full week of your real timetable through both before deciding.
