Spark Membership pricing: $249, $199 and the extras
Spark Membership costs $249 a month, or $199 on an annual plan, at any school size. Text credits, Ignite and card processing come on top. October 2026.
The short version: Spark Membership costs $249 a month, or $199 a month if you take the annual plan, as of October 2026. That one price covers every feature and unlimited students, whatever the size of your school. On top you pay for text messages ($99 for 1,000 in the US), card fees through Spark's own payments system (advertised at an average of 2.86%), and, if you want it, the Spark Ignite marketing service at $199 a month.
Mat Track is our product. Every Spark figure here comes from Spark's own website, checked on 15 and 16 October 2026.
Spark's two prices: $249 or $199

Spark's pricing page says $199 a month. Its offer page and its help centre say $249. Both are right: the offer page explains that $249 is the monthly plan and $199 is the annual plan.

The pricing page does not mention the annual condition, and the offer page's small print says you are billed $249 once the trial ends. So before you start, ask Spark which price your account will move to, and whether the annual plan means paying the year up front. Get the answer in writing.
What Spark Membership includes
There is one plan and no tiers. Spark says the fee is the same "whether you have 200 students or 1000", and that once you sign up your price is locked in for as long as you stay. Every account gets:
- billing, point of sale and checkout pages
- student records, attendance and rank tracking
- online booking, forms and a landing page builder
- email and text campaigns
- the Spark Member App for students
- an account rep who sets everything up, plus free data migration
The trial is eight weeks free on the pricing page, or two months for $1 on the offer page, and Spark advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Spark Membership's extra costs
Text messages. Spark gives your school a texting number and you buy credits, one per text, from its price list. In the US and Canada, as of October 2026, that is $99 for 1,000, $179 for 3,000 or $259 for 6,000 (UK packs start at $79, Australian at $89). Messages sent to students through the member app are free, so most schools keep texts for new leads and reminders. Sending 1,000 texts a month costs about $43 to $99 depending on the pack you buy.
Spark Ignite, $199 a month (October 2026). An optional marketing service: a school website built to show up on Google, automated follow-ups for new leads, monthly email and text campaigns, ready-made Facebook ads and daily social posts. Ignite writes the ads but does not run them, so ad spend is still yours. Spark also lists an Ignite Plus bundle at $399 a month.
Card fees. In the US and Canada, automatic billing only works through Spark's own payments system, and Spark advertises an average rate of 2.86% (October 2026) on its offer page. It does not publish a per-payment fee or any monthly charge, and bank payment fees sit on its partner Vericheck's site rather than Spark's. Outside the US and Canada you connect your own Stripe account and pay Stripe's rates.
Spark's full monthly bill
Two US schools, every student paying $150 a month by card, sending 1,000 texts a month (the 3,000 pack, bought every three months):
| 50 students | 150 students | |
|---|---|---|
| Spark software | $249 | $249 |
| Card fees at 2.86% | about $215 | about $645 |
| Texts | about $60 | about $60 |
| Monthly total | about $525 | about $955 |
The annual plan takes $50 off each total. Spark Ignite would add $199. The card fees use Spark's advertised average, so ask for the full fee list before you decide: every extra 10 cents a payment adds $15 a month at 150 students.
Card fees are part of the bill on any software. What differs with Spark is that you cannot shop around for them.
Spark Membership vs Mat Track

Mat Track charges by the number of active members: $49 a month for up to 100, $99 for up to 250 and $199 for up to 500, or 20% less on an annual plan (our pricing, October 2026). So the smaller your school, the bigger the difference: $200 a month at 50 members, $50 at 300. Automations and family billing start on the $99 plan, which is still $150 a month less than Spark.
Card fees are close. Mat Track uses your own Stripe or GoCardless account, and Stripe's standard US rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents (Stripe pricing, October 2026) comes to about $233 a month at 50 students and $698 at 150, against about $215 and $645 at Spark's 2.86% average, which may not include a per-payment fee.
Where Spark is ahead: one price at any size, so above 500 members it is the simpler deal; an account rep who builds your setup; an eight-week trial against our seven days; and Ignite, a done-for-you marketing service we do not offer.
Where Mat Track is ahead: a lower software bill at every size up to 500 members, your choice of payment provider, and a member app built to be opened between classes, with streaks, belt badges and a leaderboard.
You can try Mat Track on your own timetable with a 7-day free trial, no card needed, or see the side-by-side on our Spark switching page.
Spark vs other school software
Kicksite, Gymdesk and Zen Planner all charge by school size, as of October 2026. Kicksite runs from $49 to $199 a month and Gymdesk from $75 to $200, so on the monthly plan Spark costs more than either at every size they publish a price for. Zen Planner starts at $99 but rises with member count and add-ons, and a large school can pay more than Spark's $249. Questions to ask Spark before you sign
- Will my account bill at $249 or $199 after the trial, and do I pay the year up front for $199?
- What is the full card fee list: rate, per-payment fee, monthly charges and bank payment rate?
- If I leave, can my students' saved cards move with me, or will families have to enter them again?
- What does a second location cost?
- If I add Ignite, do its automated texts use my text credits?
Is Spark Membership worth it?
For a large school that wants one predictable price and someone to set it all up, Spark's $249, or $199 on the annual plan, is fair value, and Ignite is a real option if marketing is the gap. For a school under about 100 students, the flat fee is a heavy share of the bill: at 30 students paying $150 it is about 5.5% of tuition, and plans priced by school size cost less. Whichever way you lean, get the card fee list in writing, because above about 60 students it is a bigger number than the software. If keeping students matters as much as finding them, our guide to gym member retention covers what to look for, and Mat Track's 7-day free trial lets you compare for yourself.
