What Wodify is, honestly
Wodify is polished software with a genuine retention story: at-risk client identification, weekly attendance streaks, one app for booking, payments and workout tracking, and native belt tracking for martial arts. It grew up in CrossFit but has invested in the jiu-jitsu market, and in our August 2026 crawl the majority of its martial arts installs were BJJ gyms: 32 of the 47 sites we detected it on.
The pricing takes reading. Essentials lists at $199 a month per location, currently promoted at $99 with a demo booked by month's end. Accelerate and Ultimate, which is where Progressions and Belt Tracking live, have no published price at all, there is an onboarding fee whose amount is not disclosed, and card processing runs from 2.7% + 30¢. So the features a martial arts gym actually wants sit in tiers you price on a call. Mat Track's equivalent is public: belts in every plan, $0 to $199 on the page, no platform transaction fees.

What 5,191 gym websites told us about Wodify
In our August 2026 crawl of 5,191 martial arts gym websites, Wodify appeared on 4.1% of the 1,146 sites with identifiable booking software. Small share, interesting shape: 32 of its 47 detections were BJJ gyms, easily its strongest discipline. That matches its push into jiu-jitsu, and it means the typical gym weighing Wodify against Mat Track is exactly the gym Mat Track was built in: a BJJ academy that cares about ranks and mat time.
Share of the 1,146 sites with identifiable booking software, not of all gyms. The crawler reads public website signals only, so platforms that leave no public footprint on a gym's own site are not measured.

The maths
The worked example: a single-location BJJ gym over a year
Take Wodify at face value: Essentials at its $199 list price is $2,388 a year per location, before the undisclosed onboarding fee, and card processing from 2.7% + 30¢ sits on every payment. On the current promo, $99 a month with a demo, it is $1,188, the same as Mat Track's Growth plan, but Essentials does not include belt tracking; that requires Accelerate, priced on a call. Mat Track Growth is $1,188 a year with belts, streaks, alerts and the app all in, and your card fees are whatever your processor charges, nothing added.
Belts in every plan, not behind a quote
Wodify's Progressions and Belt Tracking is real and well built, and it lives in Accelerate and Ultimate, the tiers without a published price. Mat Track treats ranks as core: every plan, free included, multi-art ladders, grading criteria members read in the app. A BJJ academy should not need a sales call to find out what belt tracking costs.
No platform cut on your payments
Wodify's card processing starts at 2.7% + 30¢. Mat Track adds nothing: you connect Stripe or GoCardless and pay their standard rates, with no platform percentage on top and no onboarding fee to start. On a gym running thousands a month through cards, the difference between a platform's rate and your processor's rate is real money every single month.
Retention both ways, priced one way
Fair is fair: Wodify's at-risk identification and weekly streaks are the closest thing to Mat Track's retention model in this market. The difference is where they sit.
