Zen Planner pricing, every tier and add-on (2026)
Zen Planner runs $99 to $289 a month by member count, before add-ons. The full verified tier table, the module maths and what a real school pays.
The short version: Zen Planner's headline price is $99 a month, but that is the smallest of eight member-count tiers and it buys the core system only. The real range is $99 to $289 for Studio, and the pieces most schools want, the branded app ($39), website ($99) and Engage marketing ($249), are separate modules. A configured 150-member school pays about $616 a month as of August 2026, every figure below from Zen Planner's own pages.
The full Zen Planner tier table, verified August 2026
Most pricing round-ups stop at "from $99". Here is the actual Studio tier table from Zen Planner's pricing pages, priced by active members only, never staff:
| Active members | Studio price per month |
|---|---|
| 0 to 45 | $99 |
| 46 to 60 | $133 |
| 61 to 75 | $155 |
| 76 to 100 | $189 |
| 101 to 150 | $229 |
| 151 to 200 | $239 |
| 201 to 250 | $269 |
| 251 and up | $289 |
An active member is anyone with a membership or who attended an event in the past month. Two things stand out. The steps are steep at the small end, a school growing from 45 to 76 members sees its software bill nearly double before it has doubled its revenue. And the odd flat spot between 150 and 200 members ($229 to $239) means mid-sized schools get the gentlest treatment on the table.
What the add-on modules cost on top of Zen Planner Studio
Studio covers membership management, scheduling, workout tracking, a standard mobile app and reporting. The rest of the product is sold in modules, and the modules are where the bill grows:
The branded app is $39 a month, the website is $99 a month with SEO and lead capture, Engage, the marketing and automation suite, is $249 a month, and an EMV payment device is $39 a month. There is no setup or gateway fee with Zen Planner's preferred payment processors, and billing is month to month unless you request an annual contract.
What a 150-member martial arts school actually pays
Price the stack the way a real school buys it. At 150 active members, Studio is $229. Add the branded app most schools want their name on ($39), the website ($99) and Engage for the marketing automation the sales demo showed you ($249), and the monthly bill is $616, about $7,392 a year.

The honest counterpoint: nobody is forced to buy every module. A school that already has a website and does its marketing by hand pays $268 for Studio plus the app, which is a defensible bill for two decades of martial arts pedigree and native belt testing. The trap is drift; modules get added one demo at a time, and the invoice ends up triple the number that was quoted at signup.
The figures we deliberately left out of this post
Third-party pricing pages circulate numbers about Zen Planner that do not appear anywhere on its own site, including exit and data-export fees. We could not verify them, so we do not print them; a figure without a source is a rumour with a dollar sign. What we can say is that its published terms are month to month with no setup fee, which means the standard exit cost is zero. Whatever platform you choose, get data-export terms in writing before you sign, and treat any "reported" fee you read, on any blog including this one's competitors, as unconfirmed until the vendor's own page says it.
How Zen Planner pricing compares with flat-price platforms
Zen Planner's model charges for growth twice: the tier table climbs with your member count, and the modules climb with your ambition. Flat-price platforms invert that. Mat Track, for disclosure, is the one we build: free up to 200 contacts, $99 a month on Growth and $199 on Pro, with the member app, automations and campaigns included at every level and no platform transaction fees. A 150-member school pays $99 against the $616 configured stack above, and below 200 contacts it pays nothing at all.
Context from our directory crawl for weight, not as a verdict: Zen Planner was the second most-detected platform across the 5,191 martial arts gym websites we crawled in August 2026, and the most common choice among MMA gyms. Plenty of schools are happy paying for its depth. The point of this post is narrower: know which of the two bills, core or configured, you are actually signing up for.
