Mindbody pricing, the one public number (2026)
Mindbody publishes a single figure, Starter from $79 a month per location. Everything else is a sales quote. What is knowable, and what to demand in writing.
The short version: the Mindbody price you searched for mostly does not exist in public. As of August 2026 Mindbody publishes a single figure, the Starter tier from $79 a month per location, while Accelerate, Ultimate, the add-ons, the processing rates and the transaction-related fees all arrive by sales quote. This post covers what is verifiable, why the third-party tier tables you will find elsewhere are not, and exactly what to demand in writing.
What Mindbody actually publishes about pricing
Three tiers are named on the pricing page: Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate. One carries a number: "Starting at $79 USD/month per location" for Starter, itself a floor rather than a price. The other two offer a "Let's talk" button. And Mindbody's own FAQ is refreshingly plain about the shape of the bill: your total is the plan you pick, plus any extras you add, plus fees tied to how you sell and get paid. In other words, plan, add-ons, processing and transaction fees, of which one has a public floor and three are conversations.

Worth stating because it is recent: the $79 Starter figure is a step toward transparency. Not long ago the whole price list was a call. Credit where due, and the direction of travel matters if you are betting on a platform for years.
Why the Mindbody tier tables on other websites cannot be trusted
Search for Mindbody pricing and you will find third-party pages quoting complete tier tables with confident dollar figures. Check them against Mindbody's own site and they are not there. Some are stale, some are estimates dressed as facts, and some may be one customer's negotiated deal presented as the menu. Quoted pricing varies by buyer and moves over time, which makes someone else's number close to useless for budgeting yours. We refuse to print those figures, and our advice is to discount any page that does; a pricing table without a vendor source is content marketing, not information.
What Mindbody customers say about the bill
Review platforms cannot tell you Mindbody's price, but they can tell you what paying it feels like over time. As of August 2026, Mindbody holds 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot across roughly 2,200 reviews and 3.7 out of 5 on G2 across about 540. The positive reviews cluster around onboarding and the quality of setup support. The recurring complaint on the money side is not the starting price but the trajectory: long-term customers describe costs rising over the years, one twelve-year customer writing that "pricing has continued to increase, while the level and accessibility of support has declined", alongside unease about contract terms covering fees and price changes, termination and data.
Read that sentiment for what it is, a minority of reviews but a consistent theme among them, and note what it implies for the checklist below: with quoted pricing, the number you negotiate on day one is not the number that matters most. The terms governing future increases, and your exit, are.
The seven line items to demand before signing with Mindbody
Quoted pricing has a genuine upside, it is negotiable, and multi-location wellness businesses often do better on a quote than they would on a public menu. The discipline is forcing the quote into a form you can compare. Before signing, get all seven of these in writing: the plan price for your tier; the cost per additional location; every add-on you were shown in the demo, priced separately; the branded app, if you want your name on members' phones; card and bank processing rates; every transaction-related fee beyond the headline rate; and the contract length, exit terms and data-export arrangements. If a line is missing or folded into another, ask again. A seven-line quote can be compared with any published price list in five minutes; a two-line quote cannot be compared with anything.
Where Mindbody fits for a martial arts gym
Context from our own data, offered as weight rather than verdict: in our August 2026 crawl of 5,191 martial arts gym websites, Mindbody held about a tenth of identifiable software installs, a real presence that skews toward larger, multi-programme facilities. Its unique strength is the consumer marketplace, millions of people book classes through Mindbody's app, and for a gym in a dense urban market that discovery can genuinely fill trial slots. Its limitation for a dojo is the opposite face of its breadth: it is built for the whole wellness industry, and belts, gradings and rank tracking are not part of the advertised product.
Disclosure, as always: Mat Track is our product, martial-arts-specific where Mindbody is general, with the opposite pricing philosophy, everything published, free to 200 contacts, $99 Growth, $199 Pro, no platform transaction fees, as of August 2026. The full product comparison, including where Mindbody is the better pick, lives on our Mindbody alternative page.
