Leaving Mindbody means giving up its marketplace and its quote-shaped bill at once. Six alternatives with vendor-verified pricing and honest trade-offs.

Mindbody is the giant of wellness software, and among the martial arts gyms in our 5,191-site crawl it held about a tenth of identifiable installs, mostly larger multi-programme operations. Its reviews tell a consistent story: 4.4 on Trustpilot across roughly 2,200 reviews and 3.7 on G2 across about 540, with onboarding praised, and the recurring money theme being trajectory rather than entry price, long-term customers describing costs that rose over the years while support access declined.

For a gym that mainly wants out of complexity, Gymdesk is the gentlest arrival: $75 to $200 a month by member count, everything at every tier, website builder included, month to month, 4.8 on Capterra across about 150 reviews, and the largest install base in our crawl. Its member app costs $100 a month extra and its rank tracking is basic, but nothing about its bill requires a phone call.
Where it wins:
- One plain price by member count, a relief after years of quotes.

- Huge martial arts install base.
Where it falls short:

Glofox, the like-for-like with the same catch
Glofox, part of ABC Fitness, is the closest structural substitute: boutique-first, branded-app-led, built for studio brands. The catch is the one you may be fleeing, no published pricing at all as of August 2026, just a quote flow. For gyms leaving Mindbody over product fit rather than pricing opacity, it deserves a look; for gyms leaving over the bill, it is the same shape in a different colour.

The pedigree option: two decades in martial arts, native belt testing, and a website product, priced as a $99 to $289 core plus modules that take a configured 150-member school to about $616 a month. It rates 4.3 on Capterra across 270 reviews, support praised, billing friction the recurring theme.
